Course Contents

• Week 1: Introduction, sparkling wines of France, northern France (Alsace & Loire)
• Week 2: Central & southern France (Burgundy, Beaujolais, Bordeaux, the Rhône, Provence & Languedoc-Roussillon)
• Week 3: Exam: 45 Minute, 50 multiple choice question paper

No previous experience or knowledge is necessary. However, in addition to the classroom sessions, it is also recommended you do at least 10-13 hours of private study on top, to ensure you perform well in the exam & get the most out of the course.

The exam consists of a 50 multiple choice question paper, to be completed in 45 minutes. A score of 60% or higher (30+ questions correct) is required to pass the qualification. It covers topics like French wine regions, grape varieties, winemaking techniques, and the cultural and historical context of French wine.
