A guided tasting of six different low or no alcohol options. Find out how they’re made, and what the impact on aroma and taste is. Fridays 7-9pm, or 2-4pm when on Saturdays.

Whether you’ve made it your New Year’s resolution to cut back, looking for something lighter mid week after work, you’re just looking for an alternative when you’re the designated driver- or, just don’t feel like it. This tasting is for you! Find out how alcohol-free beverages are made, what impact this has on taste, and try examples of some of the best offerings on the market right now.

We’ll be trying:

Wines & sparkling wines (including those ‘naturally’ low in alcohol, the new ‘mid strength’ category & dealcoholized wines)

Alcohol free beer

Alcohol alternatives

Example lineup subject to availability and will vary, but expect something like….

A naturally low abv wine, a ‘mid strength’ wine, an alcohol free wine, an alcohol free spirit/aperitivo, an alcohol free beer and an alcohol alternative.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME OF THE OPTIONS FEATURED WILL BE LOW ALCOHOL, AS WELL AS ZERO ALCOHOL. SPITTOONS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR USE.

The Ember Lounge, Malmaison Hotel Manchester Piccadilly

Centrally & conveniently located a 5 minute stroll just across the street from Manchester Piccadilly Station. Our lunch and steak events are normally held in the Ember Lounge. Turn left at reception and the restaurant staff will direct you.
