This is a four-week course with multiple start dates and is taught via the WSET Digital Classroom. It’s the same syllabus as the classroom course and you are given weekly activities, but it is modular and self guided with no live classes, You can study at your own pace.
Description
A 4-week online course delivered by the WSET’s Online Classroom. It’s the same syllabus as the classroom course and you are given weekly activities, but it is modular with no live classes to attend at set times.
Please note that tasting samples are not provided for online courses. You will need to source these yourself.
You are provided with a PDF download copy of the student workbook from the online classroom. You will be provided with a list of Sake to source for the tastings. Those who pass will get a digital certificate, which you can print or share a direct link to with employers.

Funding for this course
DEVELOP is the newly launched educational programme of The Drinks Trust, the drinks and hospitality industry charity. DEVELOP offers fully funded training and skills courses, delivered by industry-leading providers for people already working, or with an ambition to work, in the drinks and hospitality industry. Northern Wine School has partnered with The Drinks Trust to bring courses free of charge to eligible students.
An application and approval must be made with the Drinks Trust directly. We cannot register candidates for courses and apply for funding retrospectively, sorry.

Criteria of eligibility for DEVELOP:
- Must be 18 or over
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Working in, or aspire to work in Hospitality
- Have a National Insurance Number, and be earning less than £26k/pa
