The WSET Level 1 Sake Course is a 1 day classroom course. It is great if you’re new to Sake, whether for your career or if you’re just interested in learning more. No prior knowledge or experience is required.

WSET Level 1 Sake Course classroom times: 10am-5.30pm.
Please note we use several venues in Manchester city centre for courses, based on room availability. The venue will be confirmed in the welcome email sent around 10 days before the start date.
Your WSET Level 1 Sake Course student workbook will be provided at the start of the day. The course ends in an exam which must be taken in person in Manchester. It is a 30 question multiple-choice exam and you must score 70% (21/30) or above to pass. Those who pass will get a digital certificate, which you can print or share a direct link to with employers.

DEVELOP is the newly launched educational programme of The Drinks Trust, the drinks and hospitality industry charity. DEVELOP offers fully funded training and skills courses, delivered by industry-leading providers for people already working, or with an ambition to work, in the drinks and hospitality industry. Northern Wine School has partnered with The Drinks Trust to bring courses free of charge to eligible students.
An application and approval must be made with the Drinks Trust directly. We cannot register candidates for courses and apply for funding retrospectively, sorry.
