Meet the Gin Makers – Four Sisters Distillery

​We Welcomed Lucy & Hayley last Friday ​

Two of the famous sisters from Sis4er’s Distillery, Salford came along to our packed gin tasting on November 9th. They gave an entertaining presentation about the eleven siblings and their transformation into brewers and distillers. A model of the distillery’s copper still, called Arabella was on display. “Frederica” the still used to make all their gin is named after their parents ​and was specially built in Portugal.

Strawberry Gin “Star of the Show”

Their Strawberry Gin went down a storm as the star of the show. The guests explored the botanicals used to make  the drink and samples were passed round. The signature ingredients are blueberries, strawberries and mastiche. Then everyone enjoyed a full measure with fresh strawberries, a slice of lime and premium tonic.

This treat was followed by the tasting of five contrasting gins with lots of mixers and garnishes to experiment with.

A Taste of What’s to Come

Guests were given the opportunity to taste their original gin and the new Lemon and Thyme flavour. The Lemon and Thyme was really popular. The sisters also announced they have a new Passion Fruit flavour coming later this year. Unfortunately it wasn’t quite ready for tasting yet.
