WSET Level 2 Award in Wines | Condensed 3 Day Course | Manchester

A ‘quick qualify’ condensed 3 consecutive day format. This course is great if you’re new to wine: whether for your career or just interested. More detail on grape varieties, wine making and styles than Level 1, but you do not need to have taken the Level 1 before.
Description
PLEASE NOTE: This is a condensed 3 day version of the course with the exam at the end of the 3rd day. To pass successfully, you will be required to undertake most of you your 12 hours of private study in advance.
A 3 consecutive day, condensed course for those looking to do the qualification in a short space of time. Class times 10am-5.30pm.
Dates: 11/12/13 February 2025. Exam: 13th February 2025.

The course ends in an exam which must be taken in person (if studying online or self-study, the exam takes place in Manchester). It is a 1 hour, 50 question multiple-choice exam and you must score 55% or above to pass. Those who pass will get a digital certificate, which you can print or share a direct link to with employers.

Funding for this course
DEVELOP is the newly launched educational programme of The Drinks Trust, the drinks and hospitality industry charity. DEVELOP offers fully funded training and skills courses, delivered by industry-leading providers for people already working, or with an ambition to work, in the drinks and hospitality industry. Northern Wine School has partnered with The Drinks Trust to bring courses free of charge to eligible students.
An application and approval must be made with the Drinks Trust directly. We cannot register candidates for courses and apply for funding retrospectively, sorry.

Criteria of eligibility for DEVELOP:
- Must be 18 or over
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Working in, or aspire to work in Hospitality
- Have a National Insurance Number, and be earning less than £26k/pa
