WSET Level 3 Award in Wines 6 Week Course | Manchester

An advanced course for those who have passed the Level 2 Wines, or have an extensive knowledge of wine already.
Description
This is a very intensive and demanding course requiring a substantial amount of private study time (56 hours) in addition to the classroom sessions. Please note that you must either have already completed the WSET Level 2 Wines course already, or have an equivalent level of knowledge in wine before enrolling. If you aren’t sure, please speak to us first before booking. We reserve the right to refuse enrolment.
This is a weekly, full day release version of the course over 6 consecutive weeks (1 full day per week, on the same day each week as the start date). You must attend each session to complete the course.
The course ends in an exam which must be taken in person. It is made up of two sections: A 30 minute, blind tasting exam of 2 wines & A theory paper, consisting of 4 short answer questions of 25 marks each plus a 50 question multiple-choice section.
You must score 55% or above across both sections to pass. Those who pass will get a certificate, lapel pin & right to use the WSET Level 3 Certified logo.

Funding for this course
DEVELOP is the newly launched educational programme of The Drinks Trust, the drinks and hospitality industry charity. DEVELOP offers fully funded training and skills courses, delivered by industry-leading providers for people already working, or with an ambition to work, in the drinks and hospitality industry. Northern Wine School has partnered with The Drinks Trust to bring courses free of charge to eligible students.
An application and approval must be made with the Drinks Trust directly. We cannot register candidates for courses and apply for funding retrospectively, sorry.

Criteria of eligibility for DEVELOP:
- Must be 18 or over
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Working in, or aspire to work in Hospitality
- Have a National Insurance Number, and be earning less than £26k/pa
