Our wine tastings are open to anyone over the age of 18 and no prior wine tasting experience is needed. After discussion with the very helpful representative (John?), the friend's wife suggested a tour of wines from the places which had been important in their life together. I chose the 'Wine and Food matching' as I wanted a unique team building experience. What a fantastic event, everyone had such a great time and enjoyed tasting a wonderful variety of wines. There was a lovely choice of nibbles and appetisers and John put alot of thought in catering for a vegan, a vegetarian and gluten-free members. I highly recommend the Northern Wine School to everyone. It was very educational and I even enjoyed a white wine (even though I had always avoided white wine in the past!)

We'd booked with John at Northern Wine School for a steak dinner with wine tasting at a private room at the Malmaison for a stag. Room was excellent, food was good and lots of it - and John hosted the evening well. He gave us all a 'guess the wine' style game which saw us all try and identify country of origin, type, price etc of six different red wines; before revealing all and giving us some tips for next time. Great evening, everyone thoroughly enjoyed - would highly recommend.

A great host, highly knowledgeable and the ability to introduce us to gins we had not heard of before and even a few different types of mixer!
